Kennedy Training Network, based in Davie, Florida, is the lodging industry's best source for hotel training programs and services in topic areas of hotel reservations sales, hospitality and guest service excellence, front desk profit optimization, upselling, and hotel sales.

Services include customized, on-site hotel training workshops, private hotel team webinars, and telephone mystery shopping for hotel sales, reservations, spa, and front desk. Additionally, KTN is a resource for conference speakers for lodging and tourism industry associations, brands, and management companies.

Clients include a diverse mix representing virtually all segments of the lodging industry including hotels, resorts, vacation rental companies, timeshare resorts, luxury inns, and all-inclusives. Here are a few of KTN's past and current clients.

Whenever possible, Doug Kennedy presents all of KTN’s core workshop topics personally.  Advance scheduling ensures his availability.  If Doug is not available, training can be presented by one of KTN’s staff trainers, each of whom has been personally trained and coached by Doug.

M. Cathy Cook, Executive Director of Training & Development

After growing up on a small family dairy farm in Central PA, Ms. Cook earned a BA in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Southeastern Academy in Kissimmee, FL. She began her career as a front desk clerk and supervisor in select service hotels branded by Best Western and Days Inn, then worked for luxury resorts such as Mt. Airy Lodge. After joining Marriott in 1990, she worked her way up from Night Audit Supervisor at the Greenbelt Marriott to various Front Office Management positions for prominent properties such as Marriott's Lincolnshire and Mountain Shadows resorts and the Marriott San Ramon.

After joining Marriott's corporate level Learning & Development team in 1997, Cook designed and delivered instructor lead training courses, self-paced eLearning, and property coach classes for all Marriott brands from focused service through the luxury portfolio. She has also assisted with grand openings and brand conversions for prominent properties such as the JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton Grand Lakes, and for Autograph Collection and Gaylord Resorts properties.

Having joined KTN in the fall of 2017, Cathy will continue to expand our menu of hospitality industry training topics and develop both live and self-paced remote learning options.

Ms. Cook is an AH&LA Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) and an accomplished member of Toastmasters International, having achieved Advanced Communicator Gold- ACG and Advanced Leader Silver – ALS status.

Michele French Boyer, Manager of Training & Development

Michele joined KTN in 2012 as a part time telephone mystery shopper and was quickly promoted to Reservations Coach. In 2016 she was promoted to Senior Training Specialist and then most recently to Manager of Training & Development. In addition to facilitating KTN's reservations sales and hospitality training workshops and private webinars, Michele manages all of the KTN mystery shoppers and reservations coaches, while producing and starring in all of the monthly Video Training Tips.

Michele began her hospitality career right after high school working as a lifeguard at a resort in Scottsdale, AZ. After earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ottawa University, she went on to hold various front desk supervisory and Director of Activities positions at several Marriott's including Mountain Shadows, the iconic Camelback Resort, and the Sea-Tac Marriott in Seattle. After leaving Marriott, Michele worked as a public school teacher and later as a trainer for the 911 Police Dispatch centers in Phoenix, AZ and Jupiter, FL.
