DOUGLAS KENNEDY - FULL BIODouglas Kennedy is the founder and President of the Kennedy Training Network. Doug has been a fixture on the hospitality and tourism industry conference circuit since 1989, having presented over 1,000 conference keynote sessions, educational break-out seminars, or customized, on-premise training workshops during in the past 17 years. Doug Kennedy is the former President and co-founder of HSA International, a business he and his business partner started as a home-based cottage business and which together they grew into a world-wide player in hospitality training until Doug exited the company in a spin-off and merger of the HSA mystery shopping business with Quality Track International in June of 2003. As President of HSA, Doug authored many of its most successful worldwide hospitality industry training programs including HSA's noted Reservations Sales Enhancement and Hospitality and Guest Service series of multi-level training workshops, self-paced e-learning courses, which it is estimated that more than 20,000 reservations and front office staff have participated in worldwide. Besides his conference speaking and his entrepreneurial endeavors, Doug also makes time to pursue his passion for writing. His articles have also appeared worldwide in more than 16 prominent international publications including the HSMAI Marketing Review, eHotelier, 4hoteliers News Resource, Human Assets - Dubai and Hong Kong, Hsyndicate worldwide, and the Hotel Expert Magazine Hong Kong. Since 1996 Doug has been a regular contributor to the lodging industry's number one rated publication, Hotel & Motel Management magazine, where he has been a regular monthly columnist since 2001. Doug's first love is and always has been presenting his message directly to the people via his conference presentations and customized on-site training sessions. Doug is an experienced presenter who can reach an audience of frontline staffers just as effectively as a room full of GM’s and VP’s.
