It is estimated that over 15,000 others have participated in training workshops and seminars he has presented personally throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as in places like Sao Paulo, Brazil, Singapore, Kaula Lumpur , Malaysia, Sophia, Bulgaria, Frankfurt, Germany, Florence, Italy, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Kiev, Ukraine, and Moscow Russia.  Thousands of others worldwide read his monthly articles in publications such as Hsyndicate, Hotel Online, Hotel News Resource, HTrends, HotelMarketing.com, Hotel News Now and 4Hoteliers.

Doug is a veteran hotel conference presenter who can connect with audiences representing all levels of management and all segments of the lodging industry. During his career he has been a keynote or break-out presenter for hotel brands such as Choice Hotels, Best Western International, Americinn, Oxford Suites, Starwood, Wyndham, Leading Hotels of the World, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels, and Embassy Suites Hotels.  Over the years Doug has been a guest speaker for a diverse group of hotel management companies such as Davidson Hotels, Concord Hotels, LaBelle Management, Coakley and Williams, Expotel Hospitality and Town Pump Hotel Group.   Doug has also presented for lodging industry associations such as CRADR, VRMA, FVRMA, Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association, North Carolina Hotel & Restaurant Association, Wisconsin Innkeepers Association, Montana Innkeepers Association, Cayman Islands CVP, the Caribbean Hotel Association, the HSMAI Revenue Managers Strategy conference, and several HSMAI Chapters.

His presentation style is described on participant evaluations as being energetic, practical and real-world, but most of all interactive and fun.  Having started his career during college as a bellman with Marriott’s 125th property in the original chain, working through the Marriott management training in the mid 1980’s, and then later working as a front office and reservations manager for independent hotels in New York City and Miami prior to his career as a trainer, his conference presentations are spiced up with fun stories of personal experiences which are still relevant today.

The content of Doug's hotel conference speaker presentations also draw from his experience in developing and worldwide delivery of KTN’s training modules in the topic areas of hotel hospitality, reservations sales training, front desk selling, and hotel sales training. You can also visit the list of Doug’s recent monthly articles at the bottom of the company information page, any of which could be the basis for a presentation.
